Our breast procedures

Book a personal consultation — we will talk openly about what is possible, where the limits are and what result is realistic for you.

Breast augmentation is possible with implants or with your own fat; where there is also excess skin it can be combined with a breast lift — the so-called augmentation mastopexy. If the breast is too large for your frame and causes symptoms, a breast reduction is the right route.

Breast surgery with Dr. Finke and Dr. Frantzen

As board-certified plastic surgeons with senior hospital experience, Dr. Finke and Dr. Frantzen perform breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and breast reconstruction. Every procedure is discussed, agreed and planned in detail — with a clear eye on the result you can realistically expect.

Both trained at leading hospitals and held senior positions there: Dr. Frantzen as head of the department of plastic surgery at Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch, Dr. Finke as consultant at HELIOS-Klinikum Emil von Behring and as visiting surgeon at the breast centre of Krankenhaus Waldfriede. That reconstructive background still shapes the way they work: the aim is a result that looks natural and lasts.

Both are full members of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC) and the German Society of Senology (DGS), the specialist society for diseases of the female breast. Dr. Finke is also a Fellow of EBOPRAS and speaks regularly at the annual meetings of the Berlin-Brandenburg Surgical Society (BCG) on aesthetic breast surgery. Consultations are available in English and Spanish.

Good to know

Combining procedures

Breast procedures combine well with other operations. After completed family planning several procedures can be combined into a mommy makeover — Dr. Finke presented on this combination of breast and intimate surgery at the 2026 annual meeting of the VDÄPC.

A breast operation can also be combined with a tummy tuck or liposuction. What makes sense in your case — and what is better done in two steps — is something we will discuss openly.

What does it cost? There is no flat rate. Time in theatre, technique, anaesthetic and the extent of the procedure differ from person to person. You get a binding quote at the end of your consultation, in writing, with nothing hidden. And the consultation itself? Medical advice is a treatment in its own right and is invoiced under the German scale of medical fees (GOÄ) — including when you decide against a procedure afterwards. We tell you what to expect when the appointment is made.

Will my insurance pay? As a rule, no. Purely aesthetic procedures are paid privately. German statutory insurers only contribute where there is a recognised medical indication; private insurers and international policies decide case by case. We will tell you honestly whether you have any prospect of cover.

Whether there is any prospect of this in your case, we tell you openly.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about breast surgery

Medically reviewed by Dr. Juliane C. Finke and Dr. Stephan Frantzen

01

Which breast procedures do you offer in Berlin?

Breast augmentation with implants or with your own fat, breast lift (mastopexy), breast reduction and reconstructive breast surgery. Where excess skin and a lack of volume occur together, augmentation and lift can be combined in a single operation.

02

How do I know whether I need an augmentation or a lift?

It depends on where the nipple sits. If the size suits your body but the breast has dropped and the nipple has moved below the inframammary fold, a lift is the answer. If the skin is still firm and only volume is missing, an augmentation is enough. We measure this during your consultation.

03

Are consultations available in English?

Yes. Consultations and treatments are available in German, English and Spanish.

04

Where do the operations take place?

Consultations and all outpatient procedures take place at our practice in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. Inpatient procedures are performed at the MEOCLINIC on Friedrichstraße 71, the private hospital in Quartier 206.

05

Are the costs covered by health insurance?

All services are self-pay or private insurance services. We will quote the price for your individual procedure after your consultation.

06

Can I combine a breast operation with other surgery?

Yes. After completed family planning, several procedures can be combined into a mommy makeover — typically breast surgery together with a tummy tuck or intimate surgery. What is sensible in your case, and what is better done in two steps, is something we discuss openly.

07

Which implants do you use?

We use implants intended for the European market. The choice depends on the indication, anatomy and shared planning. Manufacturer, model, surface, conformity status and product-specific risks are disclosed during consultation and documented in the implant card.
